Black Business and Black Philanthropy Month, August 2, 2023, Atlanta, Georgia– GCBC Regional Conclave Q3. The Georgia Coalition of Black Chambers Regional Conclave is the GCBC’s quarterly gathering of member commerce association leadership and economic partners representing each of the 12 regional development areas.

Dwayne Johnson, GCBC 2nd Vice President and President Southern Georgia Black Chambers. kicked off the summit with welcome remarks and set the tone for an engaging and productive day for all in attendance.

Core topic and areas of focus included:

  • Insights into the state’s budget and policy updates, empowering leaders with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions and advocate effectively.
  • Small Business and Supply Diversity Equity and Inclusion Initiatives, aimed at fostering a diverse and thriving business ecosystem.

  • Safe and economically Viable Communities, ensuring a prosperous environment for all.

GCBC Special Presentation on “Owning or Black Places and Black Spaces”.Was an engaging panel discussion of esteemed experts who addressed the significance of “Owning Black Places and Black Spaces” and its impact on economic empowerment and community development. The panelists discussed how ownership of physical spaces and establishments can drive innovation, economic growth, and job creation within Black communities. See the presentation below.
